“Jason Brubaker and his filmmaking stuff have helped me move closer to my filmmaking goals. He offers a no-nonsense approach backed by his own successes in indie film.”
Tony Hinkens - Producer, Writer in Burbank, CA
“Three things that quickly stand out about Jason Brubaker are his experience, his creativity and his passion. He is willing to share not only his success stories but also the mistakes he made and the valuable lessons learned. He is a forward thinker, working on new solutions to produce and distribute films profitably. Most importantly, he cares a great deal about film making and helping others succeed in this business.”
Steve Gast, Scallywag Entertainment
“I just listened to the Modern MovieMaker Manifesto. WOW! You were telling the problems like they truly are. And I believe you have the right way to go to the solution. I have been at this business a long time. Initially, my product wasn’t as good of a quality to make real money. Getting 10 grand for a film doesn’t allow you to quit your day gig. Then distribution changed.

I have been struggling for the past 2 years trying to figure out how to make money at this. Even though I continued to make movies funding two out of my own pocket. For a while I couldn’t look an investor in the face and tell him how i was going to make him money ( still not sure on how to make back “real” money, but I feel like I could make profit off a 30 grand film). Your idea of a studio system makes total sense.

By branding the studio you bring the audience back for the things they want to see. Old school I would say it was like Full Moon Productions or Troma. Because, what I couldn’t get my head around for a long time is, we the filmmakers are also now the distributors. Carrying with that the cost of Marketing and Promotion. Making sure our titles get known and find their audience. Its not good enough to budget screeners and film festival submissions. You have to budget for REAL marketing. Scary thoughts for some of us. I want to make movies not deal with the rest, but in this world, if not me then who?”
